tival Saalfelden for Yvonne Moriel.\n\n\n\nMusically\, the festival sets a
strong signal for the local scene right from the opening. The traditional
commissioned composition is entrusted to Yvonne Moriel\, the Tyrolean sax
ophonist well known in Saalfelden and one of the most distinctive voices o
f the young Austrian jazz scene. After studying in Linz\, Vienna\, and Zur
ich\, she developed an independent musical language situated between jazz\
 , improvisation\, and electronics. Awarded\, among others\, the Austrian J
azz Award\, Moriel has already appeared at our festival in various formati
ons. An opening that underscores the festival’s commitment to bringing the
bold visions of local female artists to the main stage.
